CRANIAL US FOR BEGINNERS

ANTERIOR HUMERAL LINE: Line drawn along the anterior surface of the humerus on the lateral view of the elbow, should bisect through the middle third of the capitellum. Secondary to posterior displacement of the distal humeral fragment, in patients with supracondylar fracture, the anterior humeral line usually bisects through the anterior third of the capitellum or passes in front of the capitellum.

RADIOCAPITELLAR LINE: Line drawn through the center of the radius neck should pass through center of the capitellum. In radius dislocation, this line will not pass through the center of the capitellum.
